Pew! Pew! Laser Gun!

Metropolis Color Comps

I had a tremendous amount of fun with this assignment. It was liberating just to attack a project and be completely experimental and expressive without being overly concerned with rendering. I don't know why I've been affraid of color. Its beautiful, its fun, and its a powerful compositional tool. My summer project is plein air painting. Looking forward to learning and probably getting my booty kicked.

Maya, one difficult lady...

Completed ART51 Modelling with Jules Jammal yesterday. I can officially say that I have ended my relationship with the cruel mistress known as Autodesk Maya 2011... at least for now. She wicked and changeful, but we made a few beautiful things together. Maybe I will miss our times together..? Forgive me for being doubtful.

113A: Final Metropolis Illustration

My final painting for John's Class. The project was to design, draw, and paint an illustration of Superman's Metropolis, inspired by architecture from the 1950's. Painful, but my favorite project by far.
